Several injured as cars collide

The cars collided outside  a primary school Several people have been injured - one seriously - in a road accident in County Down.

Two cars collided outside a primary school on the Carrickmannon Road, Ballygowan at about 1645 BST.

A 20-year-old man driving one of the cars suffered serious injuries and a woman and four children in the other vehicle were also taken to hospital.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The area between Drumreagh Road and Bog Road is closed.

There has also been a serious accident at Pomeroy, County Tyrone.

It is understood a car and a motorised crane collided in the Tandragee Road area.
