A Newcastle-bound plane was forced to return to Belfast after a fight broke out among some of the 139 passengers.
An airport official confirmed 10 men were not allowed to reboard the Easyjet aircraft which took off after a 90 minute delay on Thursday.
The plane was met by airport police and the men - who were from Northern Ireland and England - were given a warning.
Easyjet said the incident was being investigated by police.
It took place as the Easyjet flight EZY554 was bound for Newcastle where it was due to arrive at 1715 BST.
An Easyjet spokesman said: "I can confirm an incident occurred on flight EZY554 from Belfast to Newcastle, which caused the plane to turn around.
"The nature of this incident will be investigated by police."
