Football boss's charges dismissed

Charges against a former Irish League football manager who was accused of assaulting a police officer have been dismissed.

At Armagh Court on Monday, two other charges against ex-Newry City manager Roy McCreadie, 47, were also dismissed.

They included resisting a constable and failing to take an alcohol breath test. The charges relate to an incident on 17 December 2004 in Caledon, Tyrone.

Mr McCreadie had always denied the charges.
