NI resident scoops £1m bond prize

premium bond computer A resident of County Down has become a millionaire after winning one of the two £1m Premium Bond monthly jackpots.

The lucky number, 72EJ540235, was bought in August 2003 and the winner has total holdings of £29,500. A second jackpot winner lives in Staffordshire.

The two jackpot winners are the 149th and 150th Premium Bond millionaires.

Not all Premium Bond winners, however, are located so promptly. Bonds worth an estimated £25m are currently unclaimed by winners.
