An ambulance has crashed after an oil spill in County Armagh.
The ambulance, which left the road at Hutchinson's bend, was carrying an elderly patient from Greenpark Nursing Home to Craigavon Area Hospital.
A passing Army patrol assisted the patient and helped transfer them to another ambulance.
The police said the oil spillage caused at least four other accidents and warned motorists to avoid the area.
Kenny McMahon, divisional officer of the Ambulance Service's southern Region, said the patient and the ambulance crew had been taken to casualty in Craigavon Hospital.
"Luckily there were no serious injuries to the patient or the ambulance staff," he said.
The police said in a separate incident, a woman suffered whiplash and facial injuries after the car she was driving went off the road.
The Department of Environment carried out a clean-up operation at the scene.
