Death after house fire

Forensic scientists examined the scene of the fire
A man injured in a fire at a house in County Armagh on Friday has died in hospital.

He was James Fegan, 44, from the Ardowen Estate in Brownlow in Craigavon.

On Saturday, forensic scentists examined the scene of the blaze in an effort to establish how it began.

The occupant of the house was brought out by firefighters.

Speaking on Saturday, the Divisional Commander of the Northern Ireland Fire Service, Desmond Fahy, said: "We sent four firefighters in in breathing apparatus to locate the casualty.

"They found him upstairs and brought him into the open air.

"The casualty was unconscious at this stage and the crews applied resuscitation and awaited the ambulance."
