Football coach on assault charge

Ady Williams

Swindon Town reserve team coach Ady Williams has been charged with common assault.

The 37-year-old was arrested in the Old Town area of the Wiltshire town in November.

Mr Williams, an ex-Wales international, has been bailed to appear before Chippenham magistrates in January.

He joined Swindon Town in the summer of 2006, eventually becoming club captain and then player-coach, before becoming reserve team coach.
