Bugler plays Last Post at meeting

A bugler will play the Last Post at a meeting of Wiltshire County Council as a mark of remembrance.

The bugle will be played at County Hall in Trowbridge at 1100 GMT on Tuesday - 11 November - during full council.

The lone musician is a serving member of 4 Rifles who are stationed at Bulford in the county.

The meeting is also being attended by pupils from Sutton Benger Church of England Aided Primary School who are learning about local democracy.

Brigadier Robert Hall, chairman of the council, said: "Wiltshire has a long and proud relationship with the military.

"As this full meeting of the council is to be held at the 11th hour on the 11th day of November I felt it would be fitting to invite this bugler to play the Last Post as a mark of remembrance at exactly the 90th anniversary of the Armistice that ended World War I."
