Jobs under threat at Dyson plant

There could be job cuts at Sir James Dyson's manufacturing plant in Wiltshire, it has emerged.

A spokeswoman for the Dyson company said it planned to close a number of projects in China which would result in redundancies in the UK.

She said 64 people could lose their jobs at the Malmesbury factory.

Recently the 61-year-old inventor abandoned attempts to build a multi- million pound school of design at the Stothert and Pitt crane site in Bath.

Dyson's Malmesbury's research and development department works mainly on the company's vacuum cleaners.
