Man dies in fall from motorbike

A man has died in hospital after falling from his motorcycle in Wiltshire.

The middle-aged man was driving along the A3102 near Calne when he lost control and fell at 0855 BST on Saturday morning, police said.

Police, who said the man was riding a Peugeot machine, have appealed for witnesses to come forward. A full investigation is under way.

The man was pronounced dead at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
