A man jumped into a tank containing 10ft (3.3m) sand tiger sharks for half-an-hour to raise charity funds.
Dr Stuart Christie, 48, from Malmesbury, had two hours' training before the stunt - which raised £400 for Diabetes UK.
His Wife Mandy, 41, was diagnosed with diabetes as a child and is now looked after by her husband after recently suffering a stroke.
The pair hope the money raised may help find a cure for the disease.
Diabetes UK North West Fundraising Manager, Stephanie Lawless, said: "I'm really impressed Stuart combated his fears to do this.
"With 2.3m people with diabetes in the UK and over 500,000 unaware they have the condition, diabetes is one of the biggest health challenges facing the UK today."
