Murder probe over 'assaulted' man

A murder inquiry has been launched following the death of a man in Wiltshire.

Police were called to the scene following reports of an alleged serious assault in Victoria Road, Devizes on Friday afternoon.

The man was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon but later died from his injuries.

Two men are in custody and are currently helping police with their inquiries, a spokesman said.
