Woman dies after car hits tree

Accident generic A woman has died after her car collided with a tree in south Wiltshire.

It happened at around midnight on Saturday on the Packway, near the junction with the A345 Countess Road, in Durrington.

The woman suffered serious injuries, and was taken to Salisbury District Hospital, where she was later confirmed dead.

Police investigating the accident are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
