Town holds environmental workshop

A question and answer session will be held in Malmesbury to discuss action to tackle local environmental issues.

The event also involves a series of workshops focusing on renewable energy, recycling, Fairtrade and becoming a climate friendly community.

Panelists include representatives from the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, Fairtrade, Somerfield, Wiltshire Wood Recycling and Hills Waste.

Those attending will receive a free home energy check.

"This special event provides an ideal opportunity for local people to raise their concerns and join us to discuss what action we can all take to make a difference," said chairman of the Malmesbury area committee John Thomson.

The event will be held on 26 September at Malmesbury Secondary School between 1700 and 2130 BST.
