The 33-year-old was also found guilty of actual bodily harm after her two-year-old son was seriously injured.
A 40-year-old man, who was jointly charged with the defendant, pleaded guilty to the six charges of neglect. Both will be sentenced at a later date.
Police said this was a sad case of young children not being cared for.
Scald injuries
Det Insp Tim Corner, senior investigating officer, said: "This was a sad case of six young children not receiving appropriate and adequate parental care.
"They are all now in long-term foster care. The physical ill-treatment of the two-year-old was particularly abhorrent.
"He suffered severe scald injuries to his hands and a series of lacerations to head, face and stomach.
"Whilst all offences against young children are distressing, neglect and physical abuse of children at the hands of a parent makes this case even more disturbing."
