An ambulance carrying a seriously ill four-week-old baby on an emergency journey has overturned on a motorway.
The accident happened on Sunday morning at the junction of the M62 and M621 at Gildersome, just outside Leeds.
The ambulance, travelling from Preston to Leeds, crashed near the scene of two earlier accidents and police said ice on the road may have been a factor.
The boy was taken to Leeds General Infirmary in another ambulance. He was in a "critical but stable" condition.
There was a medical team from the hospital on board as well as the crew from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service. All were shocked but uninjured.
A spokeswoman for the service said the vehicle involved was providing an emergency transfer to the hospital and was operating its blue lights and sirens at the time of the accident.
A hospital spokesman said he could not say whether the accident had affected the child's overall condition.
He said the boy was being moved to Leeds from Preston for specialist treatment because of his condition.
