Police officer by the scene of the stabbing

Two men have been charged with murder, attempted murder and witness intimidation following a fatal attack in West Yorkshire.

Three people were held after a 33-year-old man was fatally stabbed and another man, believed to be his brother, was seriously hurt in Halifax on Friday.

The first victim died before he arrived at hospital. The second man, aged 35, is being treated for knife wounds.

A 50-year-old man who was arrested is under police guard in hospital.

The two men are expected to appear before Calderdale Magistrates' Court in Halifax later on Monday.

Flowers and tributes were left on the pavement close to the scene of the attack.

Police have yet to reveal the identity of the dead man.
