Woman pulls gun on crash victim

A man was threatened with a gun after he was knocked down by a car in West Yorkshire, police have said.

The man was walking along Thorpe Lane in Middleton, near Leeds, when he was hit by a blue Volkswagen Passat on Saturday night.

He was knocked to the ground but was not injured.

A police spokesman said a female passenger then got out of the car and pointed a "long-barrelled firearm" at the man, who ran away.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
