Three killed in head-on car crash

A man has been arrested after three people were killed in a head-on car crash in Leeds.

A Ford Fiesta and a Citroen C4, travelling in opposite directions, collided on Ridge Road near Garforth just before midnight.

The driver of the Fiesta and his two passengers were killed in the crash, West Yorkshire Police said.

A 27-year-old man who was driving the Citroen is being held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
