Five people held over stab death

A man died and two others were injured when they were stabbed in an attack in West Yorkshire.

Officers were called to the disturbance in Gaythorne Road in the West Bowling area of Bradford on Friday afternoon.

They found three males aged 17, 22, and 24 with stab injuries. They were taken to hospital where the 22-year-old died in the early hours of Saturday.

Four men, aged 25, 26, 28 and 42 and a woman, aged 34, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police said the 24-year-old remains in a critical condition in Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The 17-year-old was treated for a laceration and was later released.

The incident is being investigated by West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Inquiry team.

A police spokesman said: "While the investigation is at an early stage, this does not appear to be a random attack."
