Murder squad detectives investigating the fatal shooting of a man in a Leeds house have seized a car thought to have been used after the attack.

A 20-year-old man died after being shot when three masked men and a woman burst into the property on Clifton Mount in the Harehills area on Tuesday night.

He died at Leeds General Infirmary on Thursday morning.

Police found the blue Ford Focus in the Chapletown area, close to the site of the former Hayfield pub.

Senior officers said they believed the car had been used both before and after the shooting.

Important

Det Supt Steve Payne said: "This has now turned into a murder investigation of which this car now forms a very important part.

"We know it was stolen from the Oatland Heights are of Little London around 11.30BST on 11 June.

"We are continuing to appeal for information surrounding identifying the people that came to the address on Clifton Mount."

The three men involved in the attack are black, between 5ft 10in and 6ft tall wearing camouflage army-type clothing and black balaclavas.

The woman with the gang had previously been knocking on doors asking for someone by the name of 'Michelle'.
