Police name man in rape inquiry

Police want to question a West Yorkshire man about the rape of a 22-year-old woman who was attacked as she walked through a cemetery.

Police said she was attacked in daylight and forced into the chapel in the grounds of Stoney Royd Cemetery in Water Lane, Halifax, on Sunday.

Officers want to question 47-year-old David Mitchell, who is from the Todmorden area, about the attack.

Police said the woman was being looked after by specially trained officers.
