Woman is raped in cemetery attack

A 22-year-old woman was dragged into a derelict chapel and raped as she walked through a cemetery in West Yorkshire.

Police said she was attacked in broad daylight and forced into the chapel in the grounds of Stoney Royd Cemetery in Water Lane, Halifax, on Sunday.

Her attacker is described as having receding brown hair and was wearing a green anorak and blue jeans.

Police said the woman was being looked after by specially trained officers. They have appealed for information.
