Shannon quizzed '10 mins daily'

School photograph of Shannon Matthews Shannon Matthews is being questioned for only 10 minutes a day about her disappearance, according to police.

The nine-year-old went missing on 19 February and was found 24 days later at a house in Batley Carr, a mile from her home in Dewsbury.

She is now being cared for by social services while being questioned by specially trained police officers.

Michael Donovan, 39, faces two charges of abduction and kidnap after Shannon vanished on the way home from school.

Detectives say they have many questions to ask Shannon, which has added to the length of time it has taken to interview her.

She was also not interviewed at all on one day this week.

BBC North of England correspondent Mark Simpson said that Shannon's schoolfriends are hoping she will be back at school after the Easter break.
