Motorbike rider killed in crash

A motorcyclist has been killed in a collision with a car near Leeds.

The man was riding a Honda motorbike when it crashed with a Vauxhall Corsa on the A639 Methley Road near to the junction with Fleet Lane.

West Yorkshire Police said the 44-year-old man is from the Featherstone area.

Traffic officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which happened at about 1700 GMT on Monday, to contact them.
