Music banned for Dolly Parton fan

Diane Duffin A country and western fan who plagued neighbours by playing Dolly Parton songs around the clock has been banned from playing music in her home.

Diane Duffin, 36, from Leeds, was given an interim anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) at Leeds County Court on Monday.

The city council applied for the order after neighbours complained about repeat performances of tracks including Dolly Parton's "Nine to Five".

Ms Duffin, of Heights Drive, was banned from playing music from 11pm to 7am.

The interim Asbo also bans her from causing nuisance, alarm, harassment or distress to others and from approaching any neighbour who complained to the council.

Played 20 times

The order was made after Miss Duffin breached a previous noise abatement order, the court heard.

A full Asbo hearing will be held in October.

The mother-of-four previously had her CD player, TVs, DVD players, CDs and other equipment confiscated from her home.

A neighbour had complained that on one day alone the Tammy Wynette track D.I.V.O.R.C.E was played 20 times.

An application for a full Asbo will be made at a two-day hearing to begin on 24 October.
