Pedestrian dies after road crash

A 62-year-old pedestrian has died after he was hit by a car in Leeds.

The accident happened on Wednesday morning in Pymont Drive, near to Ogiliby Court, in Woodlesford, and involved a Peugeot 206 car.

West Yorkshire Police said the man was taken to Pindersfield Hospital in Wakefield, but later died because of his injuries.

Detectives carried out investigations at the site and urged anyone who saw the accident to contact them.
