The organiser of the Leeds Festival has said he has every confidence in the way security staff dealt with incidents at the end of the music event.
Melvin Benn, from Mean Fiddler, said staff had to act when fires were lit around the festival site at Bramham Park in the early hours of Monday.
West Yorkshire Police described what happened as "low-level disorder".
They said that over the six days festival goers were on the site only 26 arrests were made.
About 100 crimes were reported, mainly for thefts from tents.
Festival arrangements
The three days of music from groups such as Iron Maiden, Kings of Leon, Razorlight, Babyshambles and the Foo Fighters were enjoyed by 57,000 people.
Mr Benn said arrangements had worked "very, very well" both before and after the event.
He admitted that security staff wearing protective clothing had been forced to act after the fires were lit when the music finished on Sunday night.
"Two people were injured when gas canisters were put on fires and that is very dangerous," Mr Benn said.
"Staff had to act to put the fires out. It is a condition of our licence that fires are extinguished."
This was the third time the festival has been held on the private estate near Wetherby.
