Man left with stabbing injuries

A man is in hospital after he was stabbed in the stomach with a broken bottle in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police said they were called to Tiverton Road in Selly Oak late on Saturday night.

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and police are appealing for witnesses.
