An engineer from the Black Country says he feels so passionately about his birthplace he has designed a tartan to celebrate it.
Philip Tibbetts, 24, from Halesowen, has designed two plaid kilts for Halesowen and the Black Country.
The Halesowen tartan is blue to represent the football and rugby teams and bears a 12th Century coat of arms.
The other tartan is black, red, white and yellow, denoting coal, red sunsets, the iron industry and Mercia's flag.
Mr Tibbetts said the red was representative of an old saying which went, "the Black Country is black by day and red by night".
Last year he designed a Black Country coat of arms and flag.
He said: "I'm not trying to force a dress code on the Black Country.
"I just want people to have fun with them. They've got a great reaction [and] I'm really pleased."
The Black Country Tartan and Halesowen Tartan are now listed in the Scottish Tartan World Register.
