Club stabbing victim identified

Police tape outside Q club, Birmingham

Police have released the identity of a 29-year-old man who was stabbed to death outside a Birmingham nightclub.

Mathew Sutherland, who was also known as Ducky and lived in the city, was found outside the Q club in Corporation Street at about 0600 BST on Sunday.

He had earlier been inside the venue for a night which had been attended by about 1,500 people.

Detectives want to speak to people who were in Corporation Street at the time Mr Sutherland was attacked.

Anyone with information should contact West Midlands Police.
