'Fighting dogs' family convicted

A family-of-three have been found guilty of keeping dangerous dogs at their Birmingham home.

Eight animals, including two pit bull-type dogs, were seized from Susan Hancock, her partner Anthony Mullen and their son Patrick Mullen.

A judge at Birmingham Magistrates' Court said she believed the defendants intended to use the dogs for fights.

All three of Tarragon Gardens, Northfield, were also found guilty of breaking a ban on keeping the dogs.

Sentencing will take place at a later date.
