Man sustains stab wound at night

A 37-year-old man has been stabbed in the stomach in an area of Birmingham.

The man, from the West Midlands, was injured near Stag News, on Stoney Lane in Sparkhill, at around 2300 BST on Sunday and is in a stable condition.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Another man, aged 30, suffered minor injuries to his hand and was treated at hospital.

Anyone with information should contact Belgrave Road police or Crimestoppers, the West Midlands force said.
