A boa constrictor measuring 6ft (1.8m) and ten other snakes have been stolen during a house burglary in the West Midlands.
Officers said thieves broke into the house in Holte Drive, Sutton Coldfield, early on Monday morning.
They said the offenders put the reptiles, which included corn snakes and a 4ft (1.2m) long Black King snake, into an empty cage and cloth sack.
Police said they did not believe any of the snakes were dangerous.
The thieves also stole cash from the house and a red Nissan Micra car.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "None of the snakes is believed to be dangerous, but all have special dietary needs and are likely to die if left without the necessary care."
Officers urged anyone with information to contact them.
