Football stadium station reopens

Central Trains A railway station has reopened after a £1m makeover.

Bescot Stadium, which serves passengers for Walsall FC, was closed for two months whilst platforms were rebuilt and a new footbridge was put in place.

Passengers had to use a shuttle bus service for several weeks while the work was carried out.

A Central Trains spokesman said the station was important as it used by football fans going to Walsall's home games.
