Teenager arrested after man hurt

A teenager has been arrested after a man suffered a puncture wound during an assault on Tyneside.

The 22-year-old was found on Scotswood Road in Newcastle on Saturday morning with an injury to his side.

He is believed to have been attacked in a nearby wooded area. He was taken to hospital, but his condition is not thought to be life threatening.

Police arrested a 15-year-old on suspicion of wounding. He was later bailed pending further inquiries.
