Rider dies weeks after collision

A motorcyclist who was involved in a crash with a car on Tyneside two weeks ago has died.

Allan Parker, 59, of Wallsend, suffered serious injuries in the collision with a Vauxhall, in the city, on 15 October.

He was being treated in Newcastle's Royal victoria Infirmary where he died on Tuesday, police said.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the accident at the junction between Battle Hill Drive and Kings Road.
