Man admits knife and hammer death

David Proctor A 31-year-old man has admitted killing a man by attacking him with a knife and a hammer, in Tyneside.

David Proctor, of Cardonnel Street, North Shields, pleaded guilty to killing Christopher Blacklock, 32.

Mr Blacklock died of head injuries and stab wounds. He was found injured in a house in Cardonnel Street on 19 September, 2007, and later died.

Proctor appeared at Newcastle Crown Court on Wednesday and will be sentenced on 7 March.
