Cyclist killed in road collision

A cyclist has died after he was involved in a collision with a car on Teesside.

The man, who has not yet been named, was in collision with a red Suzuki Swift car on Dalton Back Lane, near the A689 in Hartlepool on Saturday evening.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said the man was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the car did not suffer any injuries in the incident. The force spokesman appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
