Police investigate human remains

Police on Teesside are investigating the discovery of human remains found in a stream near a housing estate.

Council workers came across the decaying body of a male, while clearing the Ormesby Beck in the Park End estate on Tuesday afternoon.

A Cleveland Police spokesman said following a post-mortem examination the death was being treated as unexplained.

The spokesman said investigations were continuing and their priority was to identify the man.
