A Teesside teenager has admitted stabbing his 20-year-old brother to death at the home they shared.
Daniel West, 19, killed his brother William at the property in the Dyke House area of Hartlepool on 19 November last year.
West admitted manslaughter on the grounds of provocation, after his not guilty to murder plea was accepted by prosecutors at Teesside Crown Court.
He was bailed to reappear at the court for sentencing on 9 May.
Recorder Peter Fox QC said it was an exceptional move to let the teenager remain on bail, but added it was no indication of what sentence would be imposed.
West, of Helmsley Street, Hartlepool, has been bailed to live with his mother in Gloucester.
