Elderly man, 83, dies in crash

An 83-year-old man has died after the car he was driving hit a car parked on a driveway in Sussex.

Sussex Police said the elderly man suffered fatal injuries when his Nissan Micra crashed into a stationary Saab in front of a shop in Crowborough Hill.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene on Friday evening but later died in hospital.

Anyone with information about the incident which happened at about 1700 GMT has been asked to contact police.
