Forty firefighters have tackled a blaze at a school in West Sussex.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called to Oakmeeds Community College in Burgess Hill just after 0200 GMT on Sunday.
The fire was in a ground floor classroom at the back of the school in Station Road, a spokesman said.
He said several rooms were damaged but the fire was in one block. Police are treating the fire as suspicious and have appealed for witnesses.
Sussex Police said the incident was a "substantial fire" and appealed to anyone who saw people near the school in the early hours to call the force.
West Sussex County Council has said the school will be open on Monday.
