Knife robbery at service station

A man has robbed a petrol station in West Sussex after threatening staff with a kitchen knife.

The man walked into an Esso station on the westbound A27 road at Tangmere and pointed the weapon at a male counter assistant, demanding money.

He took an undisclosed amount of cash before escaping from the petrol station after the robbery on Thursday evening.

The man wore a green balaclava and a long sleeved black jacket, and police have appealed for witnesses.
