Teenagers launch anti-smoking DVD

An anti-smoking DVD will be launched by a young person's group in Sussex.

The film, to be released by East Sussex Youth Cabinet, will target 11-16 year olds, giving them information about tobacco and advice on quitting.

Youth Cabinets are elected and staffed by 11 to 18-year-olds, aiming to advise local councils about issues which concern young people.

The new DVD will be sent to schools along with a questionnaire seeking views on existing smoking services.

James Davies, of East Sussex youth cabinet, said smoking was a key issue for young people.

"We hope this DVD will help educate young people about the effects of smoking and give them information about where they can go for support," he said.
