A multi-million pound affordable-housing scheme in Surrey has been given the green light by councillors.
The homes will be built on the site of the former White Hart Court day centre and sheltered housing facility in Ripley, which closed in 2006.
The building proposals include a number of homes exclusively for people with close connections with the village.
The homes would help contribute to Guildford Borough Council's target to provide 400 new properties by 2012.
Councillor for Housing, Councillor Andrew French said: "The development of this site would mean new affordable homes for the borough - which we recognise are vital for the future of our communities."
White Hart Court was closed when the demand for sheltered housing began to fall.
