No crash charge for Dane Bowers

Dane Bowers

Katie Price's ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers will not face police action over a car crash near the model's Surrey home.

Former boyband singer Mr Bowers, 29, and a 26-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a collision in Woldingham on 26 May.

Officers found a Vauxhall Tigra had crashed into hedge after being alerted to a loud noise at Price's home.

Mr Bowers and another man were held at Reigate Police station for several hours following the incident.

'No further action'

A Surrey Police spokeswoman said: "Following extensive inquiries two men, a 26-year-old from Peterborough and a 29-year-old from South Croydon, who were arrested on Tuesday May 26 in Woldingham, have been released with no further action."

Price - also known as Jordan - recently announced she and her husband Peter Andre had split up.

The celebrity couple, who met during their stint on ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, were married for three-and-a half years.

Mr Bowers was a member of Another Level, who split in 2000.

He had a number two hit with Victoria Beckham in 2000 and has also been a TV presenter.
