Man racially abused at his home

A man was subjected to racial abuse as he sat at home in Surrey watching television, police have revealed.

Officers said the incident happened in Cumberland Road, Camberley, at 2300 GMT last Friday when someone repeatedly banged on the victim's door and window.

When the man looked through the window he saw two or three people running away and heard them shouting racial abuse.

In an appeal for witnesses, Surrey Police said any form of hate crime would be treated seriously.
