Horses killed in outbuilding fire

At least six horses died in a fire at an outbuilding in Surrey and another had to be put down at the scene.

Police said they were treating the fire, on Sunday evening in Green Lane, Chertsey, as suspicious.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire, while an RSPCA vet put down the horse, which was seriously injured.

Police and fire investigation officers working to establish the cause of the blaze have appealed for information.
