A robber posing as a workman threatened the manager of a bar in Surrey with a large knife before stealing cash from the safe and tying him up.
The raider, dressed as a builder, visited Flares in Bridge Street, Guildford three times on Friday, saying he needed to check its utilities.
The robbery took place on his third visit, at about 1340 GMT. He escaped on foot via the club's rear entrance.
A £3,000 reward has been offered for information by the owners of the bar.
Mitchells and Butlers said they would pay the cash for information leading to the conviction of the raider.
Police are appealing for information and have issued an e-fit of the suspect.
He is described as white, aged in his mid to late 30s, 6ft tall and of large build.
He had a northern accent and was wearing a high visibility jacket, dark trousers, a white hard hat, brown boots and red ear muffs and was carrying a black bag.
